Distl is a Chrome extension for reading long articles, supported AI replies and email. It brings a shorter summary beside the original so you can check the detail without moving the text into another app.

How to read our examples

Product guides are prepared with AI assistance and checked against documented product behavior. Written emails, stories and before-and-after summaries are labelled illustrative. They explain what to look for; they are not evidence of a model’s measured accuracy.

Videos labelled real recordings show the actual interaction with the source and its summary. Loading waits may be trimmed, as their captions state. They do not establish that every future summary will be correct or that the same timing applies on your device.

What a summary can miss

AI can omit or change a condition, deadline or qualification. Compare important output with the original. We do not claim a measured accuracy percentage or guaranteed reading-time saving. Where we show estimated reading times, they use the displayed word counts and a stated reading-speed assumption.

Your text and your account

Summarization uses a signed-in Distl account and character-based credits. Text included in a requested summary is processed by its cloud AI service. Read the privacy policy, plan limits and data-deletion options.
